MPLS VPN
IRIDEOS has connected Italian client facilities with differentiated circuits: proprietary optic fiber up to 100 Mbps and SHDSL Ethernet connections at 8 and 2 Mbps for backup circuits separate for data and phone. The integration of facilities in Germany (Munich) and Spain (Almeria) was carried out with fiber optic links at 1 Gbps delivered by foreign operators hosted directly at the Avalon Telehouse.

VoIP phone services
Thanks to IRIDEOS, the Italian facilities in the Como and Brescia provinces feature a trunk SIP phone service that also manages the intra-facility voice traffic via a privileged QoS channel interfaced with a pre-existing switchboard in the Como facility.

Centralized Internet Access
A connection with a 100 Mbps bandwidth interfaces Italian facilities with the IRIDEOS data center ensuring a secure Internet connection.
RESULTS OBTAINED
- The presence of Avalon Telehouse among IRIDEOS assets – gathering over 150 national and international operators – enabled an easy integration of the German and Spain facilities through optic fiber links managed directly by foreign operators.
- An Internet connection via a single high-capacity access point ensures increased security thanks to the perimeter defense systems found in all IRIDEOS data centers.
- VoIP phone traffic is conveyed in a reliable manner thanks to a dedicated channel with specific QoS and dedicated backup lines. The service is differentiated per number of phone channels: up to 15 channels interfaced with the pre-existing VoIP switchboard at the headquarters.
- The solution is complete, reliable and cost-effective and ensures high performances for real advantages when carrying out professional activities. Guaranteed bandwidth profiles are diversified to ensure performances that always meet client needs.
- Scalability enables the increase of the number of facilities, bandwidth and other parameters without changing network architecture. Architecture ready to welcome new facilities, abroad as well, and easily supply diversified bandwidths.
